Welcome to the Watch Our Potatoes Grow project
We have been keeping a photo journal of our fields this summer to show you the progress of our growing potatoes! You can watch the vines mature, flower, get bigger and stronger, and eventually die when we harvest the potatoes in the fall and send them to a store near you! Planting in the Klamath Basin starts around the beginning of May and can go through mid-June. Potatoes take 90-120 days to mature in the ground depending on the variety and growing conditions for that particular year, and harvest will begin in September and can last through the month of October.
